The filter bug series consists of a collection of anonymous filter search photographs.
Filters become a transhuman surgery. This transformation is a way of freeing ourselves from our identities. Faced with the hyper-visibility of the face, anonymity is a means of resistance. Filters help our faces to disappear, allowing them to reinvent themselves no longer according to what they show. On the contrary, the face now bends to the reflection we wish to send back. Faced with the techniques of facial recognition and profiling, ways are being developed to circumvent these instances of power. Anonymity comes from not sticking to the labels of the face, of the human being, of categories, of identifications.
