The Talaria series is a series of sculptures inspired by digital media exploring materiality in the digital age. They are designed using the technique of imprinting and moulding, of pieces of popular trainers. The treatment of the form is close to ruin and rubble. A new form thus freezes a strange encounter between several fragments to create works of art inspired by the culture of the web and become a petrified whole in time. The resulting sculpture operates a shift, which would be the passage from a basketball thought solidified by time, to a parcel of digital imagery and analogical painting.
